Thursday April 16th will be a day long remembered. It was the first day of the Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center, and the online premiere of our Quiznos original parody video Startourage http://toasty.tv/#!/tile/startourage/.
The first day attendance was huge. But thanks to our Hot Wheels client, we were able to get in early and walk the floor before the crowd poured in. Speaking of the crowd, most of them had lined up the night before for first panel of day with J.J. Abrams. Luckily for everyone, Legos broadcasted the live feed at their booth.
J.J. introduced the cast (new and familiar faces), unveiled the new Stormtroopers, and brought soon to be fan favorite droid BB-8 out on stage. Then time stopped as we all watched the premiere of the new teaser trailer. We got a little emotional. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngElkyQ6Rhs
The rest of day was spent walking around and geeking out on the massive amount of collectibles, art, props, fan costumes, and ANA Airways R2-D2 inspired Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Our Hot Wheels client also rolled out some new collector cars along with the life-sized Darth Car we helped launch last year at Comic-Con . We even bumped into cosplay personalities and Startourage cast members Lee Anna Vamp (Instagram @leeannavamp) and Stacey Bender (Instagram @tk6683). We decided to end the day by checking out a panel featuring the Emperor himself, Ian McDiarmid.
All in all it was an amazing day to be a Star Wars fan and a member of the Windowseat rebel forces.
